本研究は、三つの研究課題（研究目的欄参照）を掲げてスタートしたが、最も顕著な研究成果をあげることができたのは、戦後ウィーンのユダヤ人社会とも密接に交錯するポーランドのユダヤ人ＤＰ問題であり、単著『ホロコースト後のユダヤ人――約束の土地は何処か』（世界思想社、2012年）を刊行することができた。本書は、戦後ポーランドでのユダヤ人ＤＰの発生状況、ユダヤ人ＤＰの西への移動とドイツおよびオーストリアのキャンプでの彼らの状況、ユダヤ人ＤＰ問題に対するアメリカ、国連等、国際社会の対応、パレスティナ／イスラエル移住後のユダヤ人ＤＰの状況を総合的に明らかにした日本で最初の研究書である。
The most remarkable result of this five-year research was the publication of the book entitled After the Holocaust: Where is the Promised Land for the Jewish Displaced Persons? ( Sekaishisosha, Kyoto, Japan 2012). In this book I examined the situation of the Holocaust survivors under the anti-Semitic persecution in postwar Poland; their escape to German and Austria which had a influence also to the rehabilitation of the Jewish life in postwar Vienna; the stance of international community on the problems of Jewish Displaced Persons and the hardship of DP who emigrated to Palestine/Israel.
