Studies on MQL Turning of Difficult-to-Machine Materials with Actively Driven Rotary Tool: Effect of Water Soluble Oils and Consideration of Optimum Tool Rotational Speed

円形工具を回転させながら旋削を行うスピニングツール(ADRT)では,切れ刃が加熱(切削時)と冷却(空転時)を繰り返すため熱負荷が軽減され,難削材旋削において工具寿命の増大が期待される.本報ではより冷却性に富む水溶性ミストの効果を検証するとともに,最適な工具回転速度を切削温度,切削抵抗,工具摩耗,工作物仕上げ面性状などから総合的に検討している. The cutting characteristics of the actively driven rotary lathe tool are investigated. The MQL external turning tests of SUS 304 and Inconel718 are carried out with some kinds of cutting fluids, in which the effect of water soluble oil on tool temperature and tool wear are mainly examined. The optimum toll rotational speed is also investigated based on both tool temperature and cutting forces.
