The results obtained are as follows : 1) When the volume of pirn is constant, the power loss decreaves as the outside diameter and the taper angle of a pirn decreases. 2) A triangle cover with the base angle of 20 degrees is better than one with the base angle of 40 degrees from the viewpoint of power loss. 3) When we use the Reynolds number defined and the relationship between the Reynolds number and friction-factor in this study, we are able to estimate the power loss for any pirn shapes. 目的 巻糸体を回転させる際に生ずる動力損失と巻糸体形状の関係を調べる.また, 現在の高速化, ラージパッケージ化の巻糸体形状の例として高速ワインダによる巻糸体を取り上げ, 高速ワインダへの本実験結果の適用性および応用性について考察と検討を行う. 成果 本研究によって得られた結果を以下に示す. 1) 巻糸体の体積を一定とすれば, 最外径並びにテーパ角が小さいほど巻糸体の消費動力値は小さくなる. 2) 巻糸体周りに設置するカバーは, 巻糸体の形状を問わず底角20 degの三角カバーの方が40 degの場合より消費動力値は小さくなる. 3)
