Authors had proposed the calculation formula on earthquake H/V spectrum represented as the product of the ratio of transfer function by the ratio of input at seismic bedrock surface. Recently a similar formula on earthquake H/V spectrum has been proposed on the basis of assumption of diffuse-wave field. This research examines the validity of the authors\u0027 revised method in which the site amplification factors are used instead of the transfer functions, on seismic observation records of the Fukui area, by being related with the formula based on the diffuse-wave field theory. As a result, it turned out that earthquake H/V spectrum calculated by the author\u0027s revised method agrees well with the observed ones by using the coefficient consisting of the velocity ratio of the seismic bedrock. Moreover, it was shown that site amplification factors might be nearly equal to calculated transfer functions through the identification of an earthquake H/V spectrum at a KiK-net site.",
