          <datacite:description descriptionType="Abstract">細胞集団の１細胞ずつの性格を明らかにし、真の細胞状態を把握することは生物学の研究にとって非常に重要である。本研究では微量／１細胞トランスクリプトーム解析法を開発し、がん細胞や免疫細胞の細胞集団の階層性を明らかにし、真の細胞状態を把握することで将来的に臨床研究に役立てることを目的とする。本研究では単一細胞遺伝子発現解析の発展系として数百以上の1細胞の遺伝子発現を同時に観察出来る革新的な技術(Nx1-seq)を開発した。この方法を用いて新たにがん細胞株、免疫細胞の１細胞遺伝子解析を行い有用性を確認した。</datacite:description>
          <datacite:description descriptionType="Abstract">A tissue, an organ, or even a differentiated state of cells are composed of heterogeneous cell populations. Single-cell gene-expression profiling allows you to identify and characterize various types of each cell. Here, we have developed the novel strategy (Nx1-seq) of single-cell transcriptome analysis for thousands of single cells. In our approach, single cells are deposited in a high-density microwell plate and lysed in situ. mRNA is then captured on barcoding microbeads developed by emulsion PCR and reverse transcribed. By applying this Nx1seq method for thousands of cells per experiment, we have successfully characterized 1) complex heterogeneous types of cells in the human endometrioid adenocarcinoma cancer cell line and 2) immune cells at a certain differentiated state.</datacite:description>
