The extraction equilibrium was reached within 5 min. It was found that Ag(I) is extracted as the ion-pair complex, Ag(I) (HTCO) TTA. From the slope analysis, it was estimated that the Ag(I) species was oxidized to Ag(II) as an ion-pair complex, Ag(II) (HTCO) (TTA)2.
