| 内容記述 | This paper deals with Modern Icelandic sentences in which a part of the object is specified by a prepositional phrase (such as the English sentence "John kissed Mary on the cheek"). There are about 30 verbs which can be used in this type of construction. A classification of these verbs is proposed, taking into consideration their usage in related constructions. The semantic properties on the verbs and those of nouns in the object position are discussed. The body part terms that can be used in this type of construction, the modification they undergo and their grammatical number are also examined. 英語の "John kissed Mary on the cheek"と平行的な現代アイスランド語の構文を扱う。すなわち、他動詞の表す動作の対象の全体を目的語が表し、実際に動作を受ける部分をさらに前置詞句で特定するという構造をもつ文である。このタイプの構文で用いることができる動詞は、これまでの調査で約30見つかっている。本稿ではそれらの動詞をすべて挙げ、他の構文での用法と合わせて検討することにより、動詞の大まかな分類を行う。そして、上述の構文の各構成要素の現れ方を検討する。動詞の意味と前置詞や格の選択に相関があること、目的語が有情物でなければならないこと、感覚のある身体部分が最も適切であること、身体名称の修飾の種類に制限があること、等を論じる。 | |||||
