内容記述 This paper deals with the earthquake response of the embedded pipe during liquefaction. The saturated loose sand layers in Niigata was analyzed and the response was computed using finite element method with a nonlinear effective stress analysis. The excess pore water pressure was evaluated after every cycle of the response shear strain and the characteristic parameters of sand layers were changed with the degree of the liquefaction of the layers.
The response displacement of the surface layer became greater than that of the corresponding linear surface layer, while the response acceleration became smaller but the acceleration of the incompletely liquefied sand layer became greater than that of the corresponding linear ground. In the incompletely liquefied ground, the response wave behaved like beat. This phenomenon is well explained by the interaction between the input and the reflected waves. The response of the embedded pipe in general was restricted by the surrounding soil layers. The response during liquefaction, however, did not coincide with that of the ground, and the failure probability of the pipe due to buoyancy of liquefied sand layers became great, and this probability was also discussed.
