Studied in a case of Kanazawa-City 28 analytical indices are gained from several censuses. These indices are selected to show every urban features as much as possible, which are mainly related to land use, population, housing, industrial and commercial activity and building activity. Those are main findings as follows. (1) Census Tract has merits as follows, time series analysis is possible, we can gain many detailed data coded by census tract number and synthetic analysis of urban structure can be possible. (2) It also has demerits as follows, because it is instituted on population basis divided areas have considerable difference in terms of area size, this cause reducing data accuracy especially in regionally spaced ones and area size become smaller according to larger population density and vice versa, this gives difficulty to analyze by mapping data. (3) Factor analysis gives five common factors and urban structure can be analyzed through these factors. Then cluster analysis using common factors gives eight clusters for the district type divided by Census Tract.}, pages = {73--83}, title = {国勢統計区区分による都市構造の分析 : 金沢市におけるケーススタディー}, volume = {16}, year = {1983} }
