| 内容記述 | By the S curves obtained by means of isothermal transformation and various heat treatments introduced· from the S curves of white cast irons of two kinds contained higher percentages of 0.56 and 0.83 Manganese than that of commercial black heart malleable irons (Table I), results of studies on their structures and mechanical properties are as follows; (1) Each nose time in S curves of No.1 and No.2 specimens is 5-6 sec. respectively and their hardenabilities are not great difference and bad. (Fig. 2(a), (b) Fig.4(a), (b)). (2) Nose temperature of No.1 is 550°C and that of No.2 is 600 °C. Hardenability of No.2 with high nose temperature is better than No.1. (3) The fact that the beginning and the end of transformation of No.2 lie at higher range of nose temperature shows that hardenability of No.1 is worse than No.2. On the other hand, at lower range of nose temperature, transformation of No. 1 progresses slowly than No.2. (4) Transformation products after various heat treatments become harder continuously with decreasing transformation temperature except of hardness change at the range of nose temperature discontinuously. Structure at this temperature range is bainite. (5) When Mn content is higher than about 0.60%,it becomes perfect pearilitic structure (Photo.4) in spite of holding for long time for the second stage of graphitization. And after the first stage of graphitization, cementite easily divorces spheroidal at the temperature of near Ac₁ point (Fig.9,10). (6) Because both No.1 and No.2 specimens of this experiment contained higher Mn content than white iron specimens of commercial black heart malleable cast irons, they were rich in softness and easy became high strength spheroidal pearlitic malleable irons against low Mn content shown ferritic matrix. And by austemper at the temperature of 500 °C and 450 °C, high strength pearlitic malleable irons with considerable toughness (70-80Kg/mm²) (Table 2) with structure of bainite and sorbite mixed bainite (Photo.5 (f), 5(g)) were obtained. |
