| 内容記述 | In this paper, we report the results of the experimental investigation on the buckling of the thin closed semi-cylindrical shells under uniform external pressure. In the experiment, we used the method that excites the semi-cylindrical shells to buckle under the difference of the inner and atmospheric pressures obtained by exhausting the internal air of the shells. We have made an experiment to observe the relations among the buckling load, the radius of curvature, the thickness of the wall and the axial length of the semi-cylindrical shell. Furthermore, we introduced the experimental formulas which give the buckling and colapsing loads. |
