内容記述 | In the previous papers, one of the authors reported the strength of the circular-plates having a tapered hole fitted by the cylindrical pin, moreover made sure of tightness of fits between pins, bushings and tapered holes of the roller chain link-plates worked by punching shear. In the present paper, we treated the thick cylinder under the press-fit of the taper pin. We analysed the stresses and the outer boundary deformation, by using three-dimensional photo-elastic method, moreover electric measuring method by the wire-resistance strain gauges. As the results of experiments, we have found the follows: Radial and tangential normal stresses, when the fitting compressive load is taken off, are larger than two-dimensional theoretical values, and the axial normal stress and the shearing stress are characteristic of the press-fit. The magnitude and the direction of these stresses depend on the each contact condition of the boundary between the taper pin and the cylinder. Plastic-deformation of the cylinder at the outer periphery is occured according to the degree of taper of the fitted-pin to the cylinder. That is, cylinderness of axial outer profile corresponds to about 50% of taper of the fitted pin, and longitudinal contraction is negative in case of slow taper. |
