| 内容記述 | In the previous paper one of the authors analysed the lateral displacement of the railway track and the bending stresses in the rails under the lateral forces applied to the rail head using the finite difference equations. In the present paper the authors supplemented particular cases to the previous paper. The lateral strength of the railroad track was also measured. A test track with 50 kg rails and wooden ties was laid on the crushed stone ballast. Vertical load up to 10 tons was applied on the track and then the lateral force up to 3 tons was applied to the rail head. The bending stresses in the rails and their lateral displacements were measured and they were compared to the calculated values. |
