 note = {Serissa japonica（Thunb.）Thunb.（Rubiaceae） has been considered a garden shrub of Chinese and southeastern Asian origin. The plant is com-monly cultivated in central and southern Japan and rarely escapes to establish itself in Nagasaki Prefecture, southwestern Japan. It is newly found that the population of the species grows wildly on rocky river banks in Saikai-cho of Na-gasaki Prefecture. It can be considered as a rhe-ophyte. The plant community, syntaxonomically classified as a new association Astero ripensi-Serissetum japonicae, is characterized by Serissa japonica and Aster ageratoides var. ripensis.},
