Moreover, radioimmunotherapy (RIT) may eradicate this population of cells. This study dealt with determining the benefits associated with the combined usefulness of these 2 therapies with respect to inhibition of tumor growth. Methods: Antiangiogenic therapy using oral thalidomide (daily dose, 200 mg/kg) and RIT involving a single intravenous injection (4.63 MBq 131I-A7, an IgG1 murine monoclonal antibody) were conducted in mice bearing LS180 human colon cancer xenografts. RIT with an irrelevant IgG1, HPMS-1, was also performed as a control. Antiangiogenesis of thalidomide was investigated by immunohistochemical analysis of tumor sections. Results: Antiangiogenic therapy and RIT with 131I-A7 significantly suppressed the growth of xenografts. This combination produced more efficient tumor growth inhibition than did the monotherapy (P < 0.005). RIT using 131I-HPMS-1 was far less effective than 131I-A7, even when combined with thalidomide administration. Immunohistochemistry revealed a decrease in the microvessel number within tumors treated with thalidomide (P < 0.0001). Combined therapy further reduced the microvessel number (P < 0.01 vs. thalidomide monotherapy), Conclusion: The combination of RIT and thalidomide antiangiogenic therapy produces a better response of tumors than does monotherapy. Acting in concert, antiangiogenic therapy may prolong the dormancy of cancer lesions and RIT may eradicate this population of cells.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_4_description_5":{"attribute_name":"提供者所属","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"金沢大学大学院医学系研究科","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_4_publisher_17":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"THE SOCIETY OF NUCLEAR MEDICINE INC"}]},"item_4_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0161-5505","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_4_version_type_25":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kinuya, Seigo"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{},{},{},{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kawashima, Atsuhiro"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{},{},{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yokoyama, Kunihiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{},{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Koshida, Kiyoshi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{},{},{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Konishi, Shota"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Watanabe, Naoto"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Shuke, Noriyuki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Bunko, Hisashi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Michigishi, Takatoshi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{},{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Tonami, Norihisa"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{},{},{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2017-10-03"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"ME-PR-KINUYA-S-1084.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"206.4 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"ME-PR-KINUYA-S-1084.pdf","url":"https://kanazawa-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/12940/files/ME-PR-KINUYA-S-1084.pdf"},"version_id":"e7afc518-678e-49a7-a526-00315fe3f8e5"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Cooperative effect of radioimmunotherapy and antiangiogenic therapy with thalidomide in human cancer xenografts","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Cooperative effect of radioimmunotherapy and antiangiogenic therapy with thalidomide in human cancer xenografts"}]},"item_type_id":"4","owner":"3","path":["1134"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2017-10-03"},"publish_date":"2017-10-03","publish_status":"0","recid":"12940","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Cooperative effect of radioimmunotherapy and antiangiogenic therapy with thalidomide in human cancer xenografts"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":3},"updated":"2023-07-27T09:48:16.694700+00:00"}
