| 内容記述 | 「篇蓄」は神農本草経3)の下品に収載され, 古くから黄疸, かく乱, 駆虫などに用いられている漢薬である. 篇蓄の基源に関しては中葯志4), 中華人民共和国葯典5)などにPolygonaceaeのPolygonum aviculare L. ミチヤナギの全草であると記載され, また各種本草書の附図からもPolygonum属植物であろうと思われる. しかし, 今回入手し得た台湾産香港市場品の篇蓄はその外部形態から明らかにPolygonum属植物とは異なるもので, 単子葉植物とくにIridaceae植物の根茎であろうと思われた. そこでこのものの基源を知る目的で本草書を種々検討したところ, 本草綱目6)や植物名実図考7)に篇蓄の別名として「扁竹」が記され, 同時にIridaceaeのBelamcanda chinensis DC. ヒオウギを基源とする「射干」の項にも別名として「扁竹」が見られた. また中葯志や中葯材品種論述8)には広東, 広西両省で同植物の地下部の粗切品が「篇蓄片」として使用されていることが記されており, 今回入手した商品の外部形態も漢薬射干に類似していたことから, 商品の内部構造を検討し, 射干に関する東ら9)の報告と照合した. The Chinese crude drug “Bian-xu” (篇畜) has been used for jaundice, morbus, parasites, etc. The origin of this drug is reported as the herb of Polygonum aviculare L, of Polygonaceae in Zhong-yao-zhi4), etc. “Bian-xu” on Hong Kong market from Taiwan, however, is not seemed to be Polygonum plants, and rather looks like the Chinese crude drug “She-gun” (射干) from its figure. To clarify this origin, pharmacognostical studies were made, collating with the paper on “She-gan”9) and comparing with the underground parts of Belamcanda chinensis DC. in Iridaceae. As the result, it was clarified that“ Bian-xu”from Taiwan on Hong Kong market originates in the rhizome of Belanzcanda chinensis, moreover, there are some anatomical states in each different part of the underground parts of Belamcanda chinensis, i. e. vertical part(the base of stem), bulb, lateral part and root.
