| 内容記述 | Chinese crude drug "Lii-ti-cao" (鹿蹄草) has been used as a remedy for beriberi, cut bleeding, snake bite, dog bite, etc. In Japan, this drug "Lit-ti-calo" is called "Rokuteiso" or "Ichiyakuso," and has been used as a folk medicine of the same effect as that of Chinese equivalent. The original plant of this drug has not yet been ascertained. In the book Pensao-shu (本草書), the origin of "Lit-ti-cao" is said to be a Solanaceae plant, but recently it was proposed to be a Pyrolaceae plant, in China and Japan. To investigate the origin of the drug, commercially available, "Rokuteiso" from Gunma prefecture was examined. The appearance of the drug suggested that it is neither a Solanaceae plant nor a Pyrolaceae plant, but rather a Shortia plant of Diapensiaceae. Therefore, the comparative studies on Shortia plants and its close relative Schizocodon plants growing in Japan were examined by anatomical method. The results proved the original plant of "Rokuteiso" from Gunma pref. to be Shortia uniflora (MAXIM.) MAXIM. The anatomical characteristics of these plants are shown in TABLE I.「鹿蹄草」は『本草綱目』3)によると『軒轅述宝蔵論』に初めて収載された漢薬で, 金瘡出血などの止血薬とされている. 鹿蹄草の基源に関しては『本草綱目』3)や『植物名実図考』4)に見られる附図(Plate1)および「果実が天茄子に似る」という記載からナス科植物であろうと思われる. しかし現在中国では『中国薬用植物誌』5)で鹿蹄草にPyrolaceaeのPyrola rotundifolia L. チョウセンイチヤクソウをあて, 『中葯志』6)では「鹿銜草」の項にその基源植物としてPyrola rotundifolia(鹿蹄草)を記載し, ともに金瘡出血や蛇, 犬, 虫などによる咬毒の解毒薬として用いられるとしている. また石戸谷7), Stuart8)らは中国産鹿蹄草にPyrola rotundifoliaをあてているが, 於9), Read10)らはP. eliptica NUTT. (=P. japonica KLENZE)イチヤクソウであるとしている. | |||||
