The descriptions of how they accepted information regarding surgery for organ donation were qualitatively and inductively analyzed, and frankly and comprehensively summarized. The interviews initially included preliminary questions regarding the donors’ transplant-related experiences, which were easy to discuss, and gradually included questions eliciting more specific details. Living liver-transplant donors gathered information regarding surgery from the Internet, but they didn’t get any that they want. Also, they stated that ‘most of the information available was with regard to the transplant recipient rather than the donor’. Details of the interview indicated that ‘it was shocked what happened to their body, because they didn’t get the information before surgery’.
