| 内容記述 | Humankind has not yet established a scientific system of international rural sociology, or world rural sociology. The aim of this paper is to propose how to found such a system. The reason why is that there has been none so needful a time as today. In the world, nowadays, there occur a multitude of problems concerning agriculture and rural society, in such areas as food production, population growth, the modernization of society, and so on. For resolving them, rural sociology conducted only on a national level must be insufficient. Firstly, as the object of International Rural Sociolofy or World Rural Sociology, the following items should be included. (1) Analysis of society, within the range of a single national society, and rural society as a single sub-society. (2) International relations and rural society, (3) International socialization ; and the establishment all over the world of the concept of all nations as a total society. In the present time, the world can be viewed as making its way between integration and disintegration. How should rural society concern itself this problem? Secondly, what kind of method could we adopt for this science? I should like to propose a "Theory of Set of Sciences" or "Set Theory of Sciences". International Rural Sociology (World Rural Sociology) should use pluralistic methods. However, there is little benefit it we were to use them only in a state of disconnection. Thus, various kinds of techniques, sciences and ways of thinking such as rural sociology, urban sociology, psychology, agricultural economics, politics and the theory of international relations, must be used as one set. Actual and complex problems can be resolved adequately only by the way of this method, using them closely in touch with the realities of life. I should like to propose this Set Theory of Sciences as the new method for Behavioral Science. | |||||
