We evaluated the effectiveness of combination of e-Learning systems and English classes, using TOEIC equivalent scores obtained from the e-Learning system. In 2010, ninety-seven students participated in this class in the first or second semester. The average score was approximately 400 points at the beginning of this class. However, at the end of the class, the score was approximately improved up to 500 points. Although e-Learning systems are generally designed and developed for self study, the effectiveness is likely further enhanced by an appropriate instruction, e.g., a schedule management by teachers.
