As a preliminary inquiry, a questionnaire was distributed to a sample student population. The result shows a strong preference for bilingual classes as well as an opportunity to take classes taught by native and non-native instructors. Also, comparing students’ response in bilingual and monolingual classes taught by Japanese instructors, students in the bilingual class show a more positive response to non-native instructor’s use of English and a more open-mindedness towards accented English.
