Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of biliary epithelial cells induced by the stimulation with double-stranded RNA and EMT-like phenotypic changes of extrahepatic bile ducts in BA are closely associated with the histogenesis of sclerosing obliterative cholangitis.
