A bronze bond diamond stone SD120N75B is chosen as target to be dressed and pulsed Nd:YAG laser is irradiated in order to remove the bond material. The bond material is partially removed by laser irradiation, in which melting and vaporizing take place. In order to efficiently remove the bond material, it is necessary to spray air on the laser irradiating spot so as to blow away the molten binder before it solidifies again, although the molten metal cannot be perfectly taken away due to its relatively high viscosity.
