Because the visually handicapped persons desire to know color, we developed color discrimination system. It converts the color into the sound based on the mapping between color and sound, and it is able to recognize the color in the sound. In this study, we were proposed with the Hue Timbre Method (HTM) in mapping method. HTM is mapping between hue and timbre. The experiment to select some timbre was carried out, because using timbre is important to recognize the color in this method. In the experiment of color recognition, examined timbre arrangement was the best of others. It was shown that HTM with examined timbre arrangement was effective.視覚障害者が色を知るための装置において,効率良く対象物全体の色を知らせる方法について研究を進めた.前報では色を音に変換する方法として無限音階方式と三重奏方式を提案したが,両方式の検証実験で得られた長所·短所から,新たに色相楽器音方式を提案した.色相楽器音方式に使用する楽器音を被験者による聞き分け実験により決定し,評価実験を行った結果,音だけで色を認識する正答率が大幅に向上した. |
