The reason is that such a structure acts as if the precast members were connected through the spring corresponding to prestressing steel tendons after the maximum normal stress becomes zero at the tip of contact surface between precast members. This paper presents the experimental and analytical results on the static behavior of the above-mentioned structure, for which a beam made of two precast concrete members longitudinally tighted by the prestressing is substituted.
