The test program was designed to clarify the effect of moment gradient in the inelastic range. Test results, including material properties, residual stress distributions and initial lack of straightness of compressive flange and web panels, are presented. The experimental ultimate load-carrying capacity of girders is compared with the analytical predictions by the finite displacement theory.
