Viral oncogenesis by EBV, HPV has been a matter of issue these days. We identified that APOBEC3G was overexpressed in both EBV-pisitive nasopharyngeal cancer and HPV-positive oropharyngeal cancer tissues. Moreover, APOBEC specific G to A, C to T mutations were frequently detected in HPV-E2 region.
