 note = {アメリカの事例から、優秀な海外からの人材獲得、研究活動への投資、民主主義、国際的な競争と連携が、世界的な研究大学の条件であるようにみえる。しかし、アジアにおいて、同じことを実現しているのは、香港・シンガポールのみであり、しかも限定的である。他のアジア諸国は、世界的な研究大学の設立よりも、独自の社会構造や経済発展、自国民の要請に対応した高等教育を優先している。そのため、アジアという枠で、一つの高等教育のモデルを特定することはできない。, The conditions of World Class Universities are set by American research universities with the recruitment of foreign talent, research investment, democracy, and international competition and cooperation. Such conditions, however, are partially met by Hong Kong and Singapore in Asia. Other Asian countries are more interested in the higher education system which meets their social systems, economic development and the demand of their locals.
