| 内容記述 | 日本の大学で学ぶ理工系正規留学生が研究と日常生活の中で必要としている言語行 動を，留学生と留学生の身近にいる日本人学生を対象に調査し，留学生が日常生活お よび研究の遂行のため，さらには周囲との人間関係構築のために行うやりとりの具体 的な場面・話題を明らかにした。また，留学生はこれらのほとんどの場面・話題にお いて日本語でコミュニケーションできるようになりたいと考えていることもわかった。 これらの結果をもとに初級レベルの日本語教材のシラバスを構築した。 |

| 内容記述 | In order to clarify the situations in which international graduate students of science and technology at a Japanese university interact with Japanese people in their daily and academic life, we conducted a survey targeting both international graduate students and the Japanese students who study with them in the same laboratory. The results indicated that international graduate students interact with Japanese students while conducting experiments in a laboratory setting, participating in seminars, and discussing various topics in order to build relationships. Furthermore, findings suggest international graduate students strongly feel it is necessary to communicate in Japanese even when English is the primary language of instruction for university coursework. They also consider conversation skills to be necessary for daily interactions on campus. Based on these findings, we constructed a Japanese language course curriculum specifically for science and technology students which reflects the real situations in which communication occurs. Further development of the course curriculum and enrichment of teaching material will be necessary in the future. |
