| 内容記述 | パブリックスピーキングにおいて，聴衆の説得が成功するためには，もちろんスピー チの内容そのものが大きい要因になるが，非言語行動が聴衆へ与える影響も小さくな い。本稿は，パブリックスピーキングにおいて発話と非言語行動がどう聴衆への説得 に影響するかについて，マルチモーダル分析を行うための基礎調査である。そのため に，スピーチコンテストで話し手が用いる様々な非言語行動を観察し，その概要を記 述した。具体的には，視線行動，ジェスチャー，うなずき，笑いである。この中で， 特に手のジェスチャーには様々な種類があり，発話と合わせて考察したとき，異なる 機能を持つことがわかり，説得への影響がある可能性が示唆された。 |

| 内容記述 | To succeed in persuading audiences in public speaking, not only the contents of speeches but also the nonverbal behaviors are important. This paper is a pilot study for a multimodal analysis of public speaking. For this purpose, we observed various nonverbal behaviors, such as gazing, gestures, nods, and smiles, which were used by speakers of speeches, and we described the characteristics. In these nonverbal behaviors, we found that there were various kinds of hand gestures. When we analyzed these gestures in relation to the speakers' utterances, we also found that the gestures had different functions during speeches. It can therefore be concluded that hand gestures can play a part in persuading an audience. |
