| 内容記述 | Crossing experiments between Ixeris polycephala (2x) and I. debilis (6x) were made to verify the hypothesis that I. × sekimotoi Kitam. is their interspecific hybrid. Fertile seeds were germinated and their hybridity was identified by measuring the DNA content using flow cytometry. Most of them were formed when the seed par-ent was I. polycephala. F1 plants showed intermediate characters between the two species, consistent with the description of Ixeris ×sekimotoi in Kitamura(1936). They were tetraploids according to DNA content and pro-duced fertile seeds through self-pollination suggesting that I.×sekiomotoi is of hybrid origin between I. poly-cephala and I. debilis . | |||||||
