| 内容記述 | 個別面接法調査において，調査員の目に見える特徴が回答内容に偏りを生じさせる可能性が指摘されているが，日本においてはまだ少ない。そこで全国規模の無作為抽出調査データと調査員の基本属性を組み合わせたデータセットを用いて，調査員の年齢や性別，およびそれらと回答者属性の組み合わせが回答に与える影響について検討した。性別役割意識を従属変数とした分析の結果，回答者の「年齢」と「調査員男性ダミー」のクロスレベル交互作用効果が有意となった。これは高年齢者ほど性別役割分業に対して肯定的な態度を持っているにもかかわらず，女性調査員を前にした場合には，そのような意見表明は避けられやすくなると解釈できるだろう。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In recent years, an increasing number of studies have examined interviewer effects. However, previous studies were mainly based on data from surveys only conducted in Western countries. Since the effects of observable traits of interviewers have usually been discussed in connection with the cultural context of each society, it is important to examine whether the tendencies about interviewer effects on reports in Japan are the same in Western countries. Thus, the main goal of this study is to investigate the effects of observable traits of interviewers on survey responses in Japan, using national sample survey as a dataset. As a result, we found that the cross-level interaction effect between interviewer-gender and respondent-age is significantly positive. Taking the negative effect of respondent-age as the main effect into consideration, we could interpret these results as older people reporting more gender-role egalitarian answers than they actually have before a female interviewer. |
