| 内容記述 | 本研究では戦前戦時期の旧日本帝国の植民地・支配地域における森林の利用と保全の実態を具体的に明らかにし、それらを旧日本帝国の地理的連続性において理解すると同時に、戦後の森林利用・保全との歴史的連続性において理解することを目的とした。その結果、朝鮮、台湾、満州、南方（東南アジア）の各地域のそれぞれにおいて、多様な森林利用が展開されていたと同時に、それらは日本本土における森林利用・森林保全とも連動しながら帝国林業としての結びつきを有していたことが明らかとなった。このような日本帝国時代に形成された帝国林業の人的・知的なネットワークは戦後の日本や東アジアの林業にも一定の影響を与えていることが推察される。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This research project aimed at clarifying forest use and conservation in ex-Japanese empire, and examining both its geographical continuity of the Japanese empire and historical continuity of prewar and postwar period. It can be concluded that actual forest use and conservation in colonies and occupied areas of Japanese empire were closely related with each other in relation to those of Japanese mainland while those forest use and conservation were quite diverse and relatively different from area to area. Furthermore, it can be said that human and intellectual networks of imperial forestry constructed during the era of Japanese empire have a certain influence on the postwar forestry of Japan and East Asian regions. | |||||
