 note = {ソクラテス以前の哲学者が，脱神話化や脱神論化によって，神（々）を人格者から抽象的原理へと還元していると言明することはできない。彼らの自然学説の抽象的原理は依然として人格的要素を内包した能動的作用者であり，この還元は未だ達成されてはいない。自然哲学者における神（々）は，実は超自然的なものでも非自然的なものでもなく，むしろ自然内的なものである。その神（々）は，自然の内側から世界を規制する法則・自律的原理として構想される。たしかにそれは神人同形性という特質をもたないものではあるが，不死性と偉大なる権能を所有しているものとして，依然として宗教感情の向かう対象となりうる。, It is often said that the presocratic philosophers reduced gods from personal beings to abstract principles through demythologization, which is not the case. Their natural principles still acted as a purposive and personal agency in the cosmological processes and such reduction had not been realized yet. As such, they are not super-natural nor non-natural but rather “intra-natural” deities ruling autonomously the world processes from inside the world.
