The increase in organic carbon was estimated to be caused by eutrophication in small reservoirs located in up-flow basin. Furthermore, a new wastewater treatment method was proposed. As the results of laboratory scale experiments, the method was useful for livestock wastewater treatment.\nOn the other hand, distribution and variation of antibiotic resistance bacteria in the basin was examined. Resistances for ST and TC were related to fecal contamination, and livestock relating facilities were one of the source of the resistance.
