| 内容記述 | 現代日本の若年世代（18～39歳）の社会意識や価値観の特性を把握するために、日米比較調査を行った。調査は登録モニターを対象とするインターネット調査法で実施し、アメリカで3,177、日本で約1,500の有効回答を得た。日本の若者が社会関係にコミットしている程度が高くないこと、価値判断を留保する中間的回答をすることなどがわかった。また、登録モニター型インターネット調査の学術利用のための、社会調査法に関わる知見を得た。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | We conducted a Japan-US comparative survey to clarify some characteristics of attitudes toward various social issues and the sense of values which a modern Japanese younger generation (18-39 years old) had. We used some online survey samples namely, access panels and collected the data with a questionnaire screen in the Internet. The final US sample size was 3,177, and the Japanese final sample size was 1,544. As a result of data analysis it was revealed that Japanese youth committed in some social relations at the lower degree and that it showed a tendency to choose the middle choice, which meant that it was apt to avoid a value judgment. Moreover, we got methodological information as to online survey research using the access panel in order to develop scientific social studies. | |||||
