A digital museum was established here in 2015\nunder Japanese cooperation. The main theme of the digital museum is the history of the\ncommunity of Copan Ruinas from ancient times to the present. While other museums at\nCopan Ruinas are managed by the Honduran Institute of Anthropology and History（ IHAH）\n-which is a national organization of the country-, the digital museum is co-managed\nbetween the municipality of Copan Ruinas and IHAH in which community’s idea plays a\npositive role in the installment and management of the exhibition. Kanazawa University’s\nliaison office at Copan Ruinas -set in 2017- has cooperated with the exhibition of this\nmuseum through the students’ overseas internship program. The digital museum at Copan\nRuinas serves as a place of cultural exchange between the students and the people of the\ncommunity.
