| 内容記述 | Theoretical proof is presented for the method for estimating the threshold current level in injection lasers by finding the peak position on the injection-current second-order derivative vs the light output characteristics. The basic equation of the method is presented, and explicit expressions are derived for cases of single-mode and multimode operations. It is shown that the method is accurate within less than 1 percent error in both the Fabry-Perot-type and a mode-selective laser. | |||||||||
