To achieve the multi-step vapochromism, we focused on halogen atom modification in metal complexes because halogen atoms have been known to interact with other atoms through various forms of interactions.\nAs the result, we found metal complex with halogenated ligand exhibited vapochromism and halogen atoms formed various interaction modes in their crystal structure.
