| 内容記述 | 農耕社会の起源地「肥沃な三日月地帯」の中で、都市文明の発祥地・メソポタミア低地と接するシャフリゾール地域を対象として、低地開発の始まる前7千年紀後葉から都市形成期にあたる前4千年紀までの考古学的編年案を土器資料から構築した。地域の物質文化には一貫して独自性が認められるが、それはメソポタミア低地だけでなく、多方面の隣接地域からの影響が混ざり合って醸成されていた。シャフリゾール地域を介して、メソポタミア低地が各地との地域間関係を維持していたことの証左になるだろう。都市文明がメソポタミア低地だけでなく、周縁を含めた広域的な社会基盤に支えられて成立した事実を強く示唆する研究成果が得られた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The Shahrizor Plain is situated within the so-called Fertile Crescent, the land of the oldest Neolithization, while the location opens to the Mesopotamia Lowland. Focusing on the time from the dispersal into the lowland to the Urbanization, this study proposed an archaeological chronology in this plain from the late 7th to the 4th millennium BC. The examinations of the archaeological evidences demonstrated the continuous influences of various regions including the Mesopotamia Lowland and the surrounding areas in the Fertile Crescent. Consequently such influences had been mixed and generated a peculiar character of the material culture in the Shahrizor Plain. This phenomenon indicates that the Mesopotamia Lowland had kept the relationship to various directions in the Fertile Crescent through the Shahrizor Plain. In addition, it strongly suggests that the Urbanization in the Mesopotamia Lowland had been supported by the social foundation built in much larger area including the periphery. | |||||
