| 内容記述 | 本稿は，梁（2014）の調査で得られた結果を理論的に解釈することを目的とする。本稿での分析により，「依頼行動」における会話場面での丁寧度を言語表現と行動の両面から見た場合，両者は必ずしも一致しないこと，つまり言葉は丁寧でも行動はあまり丁寧ではないということがあり得ることが明らかになった。さらに，中国語では丁寧度を主として言語表現に頼り，日本語では主として行動に頼って丁寧度を調節している可能性があること，そして日本語が会話場面の丁寧度を言語表現より行動で示そうとするのは，「依頼」の難度を相手に察してもらおうとしている可能性があることを示した。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The aim of this paper is to interpret and put into theory the finding of Liang (2014),who points out that Chinese students who have studied Japanese speak more politely even when they speak in Chinese than students who don’t know Japanese, and that the degree of politeness of their linguistic expression doesn’t necessarily match their actual behavior (here,“behavior” is defined as“ pre-sequences” to an action such as request). The author concludes that the discrepancy between them comes from the difference between the two languages on how to adjust the degree of politeness: Chinese depends heavily on linguistics expression while Japanese depends mainly on behavior to adjust it. The author also points out that this character of Japanese possibly comes from its communication style, in which the listener’s inference to the speaker’s intention is strongly expected. | |||||
