| 内容記述 | 2017年12月の国連総会において宣言された「United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development（ 2021–2030）（ 持続可能な開発のための国連海洋科学の10年）」の実施においては，水産資源の保護と，海洋環境問題の解決が主要なテーマであり，日本を含む北太平洋地域ワークショップにおいては「Satoum（i 里海）」がその課題解決に向けたキーワードとして取り上げられている。次世代を担う児童生徒への教育は，その成否を左右する重要なポイントと考えられるが，そのあり方については十分な検討がなされていない。本論では，南太平洋諸島と日本における子供の里海体験の現状（採捕・提供体験）の事例を比較し，資源管理・保全意識を含む里海知識の次世代継承への課題と展望を示す。その1 では，南太平洋諸国沿岸部での子供の里海体験の現状（採捕・提供体験）について，大人の生業としての漁業とは別に，子供による採捕が遊びとして行われ，子供自身の成長と自立をもたらすのみならず，次世代へ資源利用や安全確保の知見を伝える場ともなっていることを示す。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In the implementation of the "United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development（ 2021–2030）" declared by the UN General Assembly in December 2017,the protection of fishery resources and the solution of marine environmental problems are the main themes. In the North Pacific Regional Workshop including Japan, "Satoumi" has been taken up as a keyword to solve the problems. The marine education for the children is considered to be an important point that will determine the future world, but there has not been sufficient study on how it should be done. In this and next paper, we compare the current status of children's Satoumi activity in the South Pacific countries and Japan on knowledge of marine resource management and environmental conservation. First, we present typical examples in the coastal areas of South Pacific countries. Fishing is not only a job for adults but also a playful activity for children at there, which brings about the growth of self-reliance of the children and also serves as a place to be inherited the knowledge of resource use and safety by the next generation. | |||||
