In the North Pacific Regional Workshop including Japan, "Satoumi" has been taken up as a keyword to solve the problems. The marine education for the children is considered to be an important point that will determine the future world, but there has not been sufficient study on how it should be done. In this and next paper, we compare the current status of children's Satoumi activity in the South Pacific countries and Japan on knowledge of marine resource management and environmental conservation. First, we present typical examples in the coastal areas of South Pacific countries.
