Subsequently we performed interview to patients and nurses who practiced diabetes education, and confirmed adequacy of these items. We got approval as ethical care in Kanazawa University medical ethics examination committee.\nWe made up a standard comprising 40 items which are compounded by two profiles, \"an implementation of diabetes medical treatment action and assessment ability\" and \"a manner to live with diabetes mellitus and knowledge\". It was confirmed that these items could assessment a diabetes medical treatment action by answers of 51 patients hospitalized for diabetes education and their values of HbA1c which is an index for diabetes control. Subsequently we declared 7 viewpoints which nurses get as effects resulting educational hospitalization and these are included in 40 items. In addition, we found 7 goals which nurses picture for diabetic patients hospitalized for educational purposes.
