| 内容記述 | 1.エチオピアにおいてクシ系,オモ系の諸言語に関してフィールドワークを行い,基礎的なデータを収集した。対象言語は,アリ語,ディメ語,バスケト語,ガンジューレ語,ウォライタ語,コンソ語,アガウ語,ハムタンガ語である。基礎語彙の収集に加えて,アリ語,コンソ語,バスケト語,ウォライタ語については文法項目の調査も合わせて行った。これらの言語の多くは話者人口が少数であり,またこれまでに研究が余りなされていない言語であり,本研究は今後の個別言語の研究の基礎をなすだけでなく,比較研究,類型論的研究の基盤をもなすものである。なお,この間エチオピア側の研究者とも連絡を取り,成果報告書に寄稿を得られたように,協力態勢を築くことが出来た。 2.データについては各自整理すると共に,他の研究者ともデータを共有し,世界的な規模での研究の促進,データ蓄積を図るために,WEB上での公開を目指してデジタル化を行った。現在乾の山口大学のHP上での公開の為の整理を行っている。また同時にCD-ROM化の作業も行い,広くデータを提供するだけでなく,個別言語の音声サンプルとして音声学あるいは言語調査法といった授業での教育面での利用の便も図った。 3.文献面のデータ収集も国内外で行い,個々の言語についてまとまったデータを得た。 4.以上のように,少数言語の基礎的データの記述という点では成果を上げることが出来たが,もう一方の柱である社会言語学的調査については,個別の事象の観察にとどまり,十分な成果は得ることは出来ず,今後の課題として残された。これは主として,政治的な面また実施日程上の制約によるものであるが,今後機会を得て,新たな研究計画のもと調査を進めていきたい。 |

| 内容記述 | 1.We gathered basic data of the following Cushitic and Omotic languages of Ethiopia during this period : Aari, Dime, Basketo, Ganjule, Wolaytta, Konso, Agaw, and Xamtanga. The speakers of many of these languages are few in number and most of them still lack reliable vocabulary data and preliminary grammatical description. As to Aari, Konso, Basketo and Wolaytta we could extend our research to the grammatical aspects of respective languages. Such basic phonological and grammatical data will not only make a solid basis for the future investigation of these lesser studied languages themselves, but also be useful for the comparative studies of the Cushitic and Omotic languages. Throughout these years we have made close ties with Ethiopian scholars, through which we have the privilege of having their contributions in our report. 2.As to the data, we are in a process of digitizing them to make them available to the scholars worldwide. Some of them will be made public on the web site at Yamaguchi University. We have also made a cd-rom which contains sound files of 262 basic words of Aari, Basketo, Konso and Wolaytta, which can be consulted not only by specialists but also be used as an educational material in such classes as the phonetics or field linguistics. 3.We have also collected information of the bibliographical data of the publications on such languages as listed above. 4.While we have almost fulfilled our first objective of collecting basic data for the description of such languages, as to the second objective of making sociolinguistic research, we could not done enough work and yield expected results. We will reconsider our aim and methods for the future research. |
