The purpose of this research is to compare these two Kigologias and to ask the questionof how Masuda compiled “Natureza”. From the comparative analysis of the two Kigologias, Masuda\nattempted to compile a Kigologia that explains the sense and image of the seasons by selecting the true Brazilian seasonal words while gradually eliminating the Japanese seasonal words. In other words, Masuda’s perspective shifted from that of Japanese-Brazilians as part of the Japanese\ncommunity to that of Nikkei in the Brazilian community.
