| 内容記述 | This study was conducted to pursue the heat transfer enhancement in a forced convective field by utilizing the ionic wind induced by a corona discharge. Experiments were carried out in a straight channel where staggered wire-electrodes were set at right angles to the primary flow direction. A theoretical analysis was also performed on the electric and the flow fields taking account of the interaction between these fields. Comparing the experimental and analytical results, firstly, the combined flow field where cellular secondary motion occurred owing to the field's interaction was characterized with the wire-electrode arrangement. Secondly, the improvement of heat transfer enhancement under the condition of constant electric power was achieved by means of the staggered wire-electrode arrangement, and the optimum offset ratio was clarified in conjunction with the primary flow velocity and the electric power. | |||||
