For convenience, an instrumented Charpy impact bending was used at high strain rates, and a previously proposed constitutive equation was applied to these curves. Results agreed well with the experimental values and their applicability to hard steels was shown. The experimental constants included in the equation for the present materials were closely concerned with the hardness.
