GPR109B shows a high degree of sequence similarity to GPR109A, another GPCR that was identified as a high-affinity nicotinic acid (niacin) receptor. However, the affinity of nicotinic acid to GPR109B is very low. In this study, we found that certain aromatic D-amino acids, including D-phenylalanine, D-tryptophan, and the metabolite of the latter, D-kynurenine, decreased the activity of adenylate cyclase in cells transfected with GPR109B cDNA through activation of pertussis toxin (PTX)-sensitive G proteins. These D-amino acids also elicited a transient rise of intracellular Ca2+ level in cells expressing GPR109B in a PTX-sensitive manner. In contrast, these D-amino acids did not show any effects on cells expressing GPR109A. We found that the GPR109B mRNA is abundantly expressed in human neutrophils. D-phenylalanine and D-tryptophan induced a transient increase of intracellular Ca2+ level and a reduction of cAMP levels in human neutrophils. Furthermore, knockdown of GPR109B by RNA interference inhibited the D-amino acids-induced decrease of cellular cAMP levels in human neutrophils. These D-amino acids induced chemotactic activity of freshly prepared human neutrophils. We also found that D-phenylalanine and D-tryptophan induced chemotactic responses in Jurkat cells transfected with the GPR109B cDNA but not in mock-transfected Jurkat cells. These results suggest that these aromatic D-amino acids elicit a chemotactic response in human neutrophils via activation of GPR109B. © 2009 by The National Academy of Sciences of the USA.", "subitem_description_type": "Abstract"}]}, "item_4_description_5": {"attribute_name": "提供者所属", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_description": "金沢大学医薬保健研究域医学系", "subitem_description_type": "Other"}]}, "item_4_publisher_17": {"attribute_name": "出版者", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_publisher": "National Academy of Sciences"}]}, "item_4_relation_12": {"attribute_name": "DOI", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_relation_type": "isVersionOf", "subitem_relation_type_id": {"subitem_relation_type_id_text": "10.1073/pnas.0811844106", "subitem_relation_type_select": "DOI"}}]}, "item_4_source_id_11": {"attribute_name": "NCID", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_source_identifier": "AA10808769", "subitem_source_identifier_type": "NCID"}]}, "item_4_source_id_9": {"attribute_name": "ISSN", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_source_identifier": "0027-8424", "subitem_source_identifier_type": "ISSN"}]}, "item_4_version_type_25": {"attribute_name": "著者版フラグ", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_version_resource": "http://purl.org/coar/version/c_ab4af688f83e57aa", "subitem_version_type": "AM"}]}, "item_creator": {"attribute_name": "著者", "attribute_type": "creator", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"creatorNames": [{"creatorName": "Irukayama-Tomobe, Yoko"}], "nameIdentifiers": [{"nameIdentifier": "25680", "nameIdentifierScheme": "WEKO"}]}, {"creatorNames": [{"creatorName": "Tanaka, Hirokazu"}], "nameIdentifiers": [{"nameIdentifier": "25681", "nameIdentifierScheme": "WEKO"}]}, {"creatorNames": [{"creatorName": "Yokomizo, Takehiro"}], "nameIdentifiers": [{"nameIdentifier": "25682", "nameIdentifierScheme": "WEKO"}]}, {"creatorNames": [{"creatorName": "Hashidate-Yoshida, Tomomi"}], "nameIdentifiers": [{"nameIdentifier": "25683", "nameIdentifierScheme": "WEKO"}]}, {"creatorNames": [{"creatorName": "Yanagisawa, Masashi"}], "nameIdentifiers": [{"nameIdentifier": "25684", "nameIdentifierScheme": "WEKO"}]}, {"creatorNames": [{"creatorName": "Sakurai, Takeshi"}], "nameIdentifiers": [{"nameIdentifier": "15392", "nameIdentifierScheme": "WEKO"}, {"nameIdentifier": "60251055", "nameIdentifierScheme": "e-Rad", "nameIdentifierURI": "https://kaken.nii.ac.jp/ja/search/?qm=60251055"}, {"nameIdentifier": "60251055", "nameIdentifierScheme": "研究者番号", "nameIdentifierURI": "https://nrid.nii.ac.jp/nrid/1000060251055"}]}]}, "item_files": {"attribute_name": "ファイル情報", "attribute_type": "file", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"accessrole": "open_date", "date": [{"dateType": "Available", "dateValue": "2017-10-03"}], "displaytype": "detail", "download_preview_message": "", "file_order": 0, "filename": "ME-PR-SAKURAI-T-3930.pdf", "filesize": [{"value": "1.8 MB"}], "format": "application/pdf", "future_date_message": "", "is_thumbnail": false, "licensetype": "license_free", "mimetype": "application/pdf", "size": 1800000.0, "url": {"label": "ME-PR-SAKURAI-T-3930.pdf", "url": "https://kanazawa-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/14562/files/ME-PR-SAKURAI-T-3930.pdf"}, "version_id": "68ce7b37-dd2b-4dec-8c0f-3570c4a4e415"}]}, "item_keyword": {"attribute_name": "キーワード", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_subject": "D-kynurenine", "subitem_subject_scheme": "Other"}, {"subitem_subject": "D-phenylalanine", "subitem_subject_scheme": "Other"}, {"subitem_subject": "D-tryptophan", "subitem_subject_scheme": "Other"}, {"subitem_subject": "Nicotinic acid (niacin)", "subitem_subject_scheme": "Other"}, {"subitem_subject": "Orphan receptor", "subitem_subject_scheme": "Other"}]}, "item_language": {"attribute_name": "言語", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_language": "eng"}]}, "item_resource_type": {"attribute_name": "資源タイプ", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"resourcetype": "journal article", "resourceuri": "http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]}, "item_title": "Aromatic D-amino acids act as chemoattractant factors for human leukocytes through a G protein-coupled receptor, GPR109B", "item_titles": {"attribute_name": "タイトル", "attribute_value_mlt": [{"subitem_title": "Aromatic D-amino acids act as chemoattractant factors for human leukocytes through a G protein-coupled receptor, GPR109B"}]}, "item_type_id": "4", "owner": "3", "path": ["1134"], "permalink_uri": "http://hdl.handle.net/2297/17403", "pubdate": {"attribute_name": "公開日", "attribute_value": "2017-10-03"}, "publish_date": "2017-10-03", "publish_status": "0", "recid": "14562", "relation": {}, "relation_version_is_last": true, "title": ["Aromatic D-amino acids act as chemoattractant factors for human leukocytes through a G protein-coupled receptor, GPR109B"], "weko_shared_id": -1}
