| 内容記述 | A part of slope or a hollow at the foot of talus in which cool air exhausts from underground through gaps of ac-cumulated rock debris is called wind-hole area. Wind-hole areas were reconfirmed in 86 localities in Japan in the present study. The vascular plant floras were surveyed in these localities and studied phytogeographically. Four taxa, Diplazium sibiricum var. sibiricum, Gymnocarpium dryopteris, Rosa acicularis and Lonicera alpigena var. glehnii, are particularly noteworthy in the floras because these are rare boreal species in Honshu and occurring preferably in wind-hole areas located in montane zone especially in northern Honshu. They are distributed northward from central Honshu and grow usually in subalpine or boreal coniferous forests. Therefore, the occur-rence of these species in wind-hole areas is considered to be a relict distribution from Quaternary cold stages. | |||||
